One of the most enigmatic figures in rock folklore, David Schneiderman, the so called "Acid King" pictured here shortly after the Redlands' bust- his ubiquitous attaché case close to hand.

  1. Great book, Simon. I believe you credited this photo in your book to Ed Ochs, Schneiderman's writing partner in the U.S. Just read Ochs' book Freedom Spy -- David Jove & the Meaning of Existence. It's the craziest, funniest book I've read this year. Finding out who Schneiderman/Jove really was ties a ribbon around Redlands and makes Schneiderman/Jove one of the great untold tales of the Sixties.

  2. Thanks so much for your kind words. Yes, Ed is an amazing guy- his book is fabulous - and gives the best insight yet to the enigmatic Mr. Jove.

    Thanks again for stopping by
